“Belmont-Paul Women’s Equality National Monument”

President Obama designated the Sewall-Belmont House and Museum in Washington, D.C. as a national museum for women’s equality on “Equal Pay Day.”  The new Belmont-Paul Women’s Equality National Monument recognizes the work of women’s civil rights activists, such as Alva Belmont and Alice Paul, who fought for women’s equality.  Read the story in the New York Times online:
